Winter approaches in Newcastle. Thalía Leveillé is a psychiatrist in training. Her first case is Vera Gibbons, a 16-year-old rescued from a basement where she claims she saw demons. Because Vera is American, FBI Agent Andrew Carter is sent to investigate. He brings puzzling information: details of her abduction coincide with murder cases from different countries, across different decades. Intrigued, Thalía is moved to find the truth about the demons Vera saw.
