Jacob McMahon; Priest, Chaplain, Union Officer, and now gunfighter torn between his oath to God and his overwhelming desire to help people by stopping bad men from killing. Unsure of his ability to continue to build up the house of the Lord on Earth because of the blood on his hands. He leaves his place in the church to live in peace on a ranch in Texas. At least he thought it would be in peace. On the way to Albany, Jacob finds himself in another war a bloody war along the River called Red.
