Bawdy and Soul is a pick-up book to pick you up. Full of poetry and flash fiction that doesn't seem to belong together, it will amuse you, get you angry, make you laugh, see your companions in a new light, and maybe even deepen your spiritual craving. It's author believes that nothing in her big fat Bible says a saint has to be a wet blanket. It's OK to tickle somebody's feet and be holy the same day. Running the gamut from meanness to naughtiness to mysticism, this short work (about 75 pages) can be read in one long sitting. More likely it will be enjoyed a bite at a time. Read a minute or two.
