This book (how to design and build a phase converter) is from a tried and true method that I have use many times over the past 30 years. I am sure that anyone with some basic electrical experience, can follow these instructions and diagrams with no problem. With these same instruction, I have built converters ranging in sizes from, 2 to 37 horsepower, they can be built even larger if necessary. For locations in which three-phase electricity is not an option, then a phase converter is a better and more economical choice than a generator. Even if you were to purchase a Brand new phase converter from the factory, it would be the cheapest and most economical way to go.
