Tellus twins Max and Vicky are sent to beautiful and exciting but dark and dangerous Mars to study there for two years. No Tellusian has ever been to Mars before and this is an adventure of a lifetime for the twins. They live happily with their host families, school and friends until they experience firsthand what life on Mars is really like for all the Marsons who live there. Suddenly the rather naïve twins are drawn into complicated webs spun by the totalitarian government of Mars and the underground movement, silently active all over the planet.
