This book is a collection of verse / poetry relating to a number of myths and legends that originated in Leicestershire, England. Each tells the myth or legend's story. They were originally written both as lyrics or as spoken verse for Folk Night entertainment. They include Black Annis, the Witch of Dane Hills; Bel the Giant; King Leir (the real one); Lady Jane Grey; The Blue Boar Inn (very vogue with the recent resurgence and discovery of the body of King Richard III); George Davenport, The Highwayman; James Cook, the last man in the Gibbet; Joseph Merrick, The Elephant Man. These are the work of the author, and this is his first volume of poetry to be self published.
