Publisher Marketing: Zombie University A serial killer looks back on his life as he leaves Death Row for the last time. He faces death with the certainty that he is innocent. The families of those he killed wish him no mercy. Dr. William Melrose is setup to be the scapegoat for numerous murders and missing person's cases. Before this he was highly respected in his field as a college professor and scientist. He was a child prodigy that excelled in math, science, and biology. Dr. Melrose purchases a rare radioactive isotope that came from a returning Icarus space probe. His plans are to make new and unique strands of stem cells to fight disease and stop the spread of cancer. All his time and effort has been about completing his education and making new scientific discoveries. This left little time for personal relationships with anyone. This is where William Melrose is lacking with basic knowledge about real life situations. Dr. Melrose teaches biology to a failing student named Angela. She becomes his girlfriend to teach him what books do not. She also takes him down a path that leads to his destruction. This work includes a bonus piece of flash fiction: "Living by the Sword" and a commentary, "Horror and Its Roots in Our Primal Fears and Realities." Contributor Bio:  Blevins, MR Joe L Joe L. Blevins is an author of over fifteen years and an illustrator for over forty years. Blevins' books range from mystery, historical, and more family oriented tales. Joe's stories always use an element of history as a base for the premise. Joe uses life events and details to let his stories ring true to the reader. Most of all: reading is to be fun and informative for all ages. Joe worked for twenty-six years in electronics, and twelve years as a teacher at three different school districts. While he acted as a teacher he was involved in various reading programs. There he saw a need to make better stories for young readers. He saw what the students liked and what they did not. This was his real "education" as an author by learning that readers demand more than just a good story. They need something that "speaks" to them as a person. These are books that the reader can actually relate to. Blevins worked with many students with learning disabilities. He also worked with some hearing impaired students. These students needed a story tailored for their needs with brightly colored illustrations to keep the reader interested. Joe continues to write with his series, "Hat Trick" with Robbie the Rabbit. He writes for children and those that love to read to them. Joe invites you to read his stories and make comments, if you wish. Thank you.
