This apocalyptic survival adventure takes place above the Arctic Circle on the North Slope of Alaska sixteen months after the North American continent has been decimated by an asteroid collision. Food and supplies are dwindling. The outlook is bleak. Clint Bell, Prudhoe Bay?s security supervisor wonders how long they can hold on. Fate brings the native Inupiat Eskimo and non-native cultures in the region together to learn how to live off of the land and sea. Umialik Charlie Rock has a larger goal: to maintain the Constitution of the United States in this remnant of America. This will put some of the military at odds with the residents, since they need the oil resources and want to take over the oil fields. Meanwhile, the residents of the North Slope try to carry on with life and love in the midst of all of this uncertainty and upheaval. This is a lesson taught well by the Inupiat Eskimos.
