Suzy Sommersby woke the dead on the first night she realized she had powers. Although for her, she never did understand how it happened. Suzy naively thought the spells she had learned were no more than innocent incantations. Her childlike nature always seemed to guide her in the wrong direction. This time she was too inexperienced to see it coming. When Suzy moves to a new town and makes a few friends, she finds herself with the now uncomfortable and unwanted affections of a boy named Eric. Eric is popular, but not the nicest boy in school. Suzy has her eye on someone much better, but Eric thinks she's his property and isn't about to let her go. She soon finds that the spellbook her Grandmother left her wasn't just a story, the spells actually work. And she is not the only one with a book. Suzy and her friend are on a mission to find one of the other books. And why not? They are rightfully theirs.
