Jonathan Blair awakens one morning to find his son is missing. Seven year old Jon Blair Jr. has been kidnapped from his own bedroom and is slated for a gruesome death as an act of revenge. The kidnapper has left clues in a computerized strategy game entitled "Sacrificial Death". In addition to the game's clues, the physical evidence of the case is being tracked by Tracy Ryan, an agent of San Diego's CSI unit. Working closely with the boy's father she has the task of finding Jon in the two days remaining before he is to be killed. In the midst of the twist and turns of the case, Tracy and Jonathan find themselves confronted with something neither of were prepared for. As Jonathan continues to fight the fear of possibly losing his son, his only hope is that the game's clues will help him find Jon in time.
