Fish and Game officer Butch Black has spent the last thirty-five years looking for a killer, a fairytale creature called the Prairie Monster. He is in search of the beast that attacked him and his best friend one summer night while they were out fishing. They were only twelve years old at the time of the attack, which killed his best friend Berry. It would haunt Butch until the day he came face to face with the demons of his past. Butch finally gets the chance to make good on a graveside promise he made to his friend Berry, but it turned out to be different then what he had thought. Now he's praying to Berry for his forgiveness.
