Lester and Mildred Kimball, born on the same day in rural Texas, grew up together and married right after high school. Mildred inherited the family farm, where they have lived for 57 years. They have the language and mannerisms of our older rural citizens. A true joy in their lives is the vocal bantering that takes place between them. On the evening of their 75th birthday, their normally peaceful life is shattered by the invasion of two desperate and dangerous escaped killers.
