George is the new kid in town and he wanted to prove to his friends that Miss Moore was not a witch. George knew something about Miss Moore that the rest of the gang didn't know. The process of proving that she was not a witch was a long and hard task. At the same time George helped his team win the Little League Championship. The second part of the story is about a man named Mr. Pete. Mr. Pete is a lonely, old, grouchy man. George and the gang help the old man get his money back from the bad men that he came in contact with. They also help the police catch the bad men. The boys wanted to show Mr. Pete that he has some friends that he can count on.
