Carrie Reynolds learns she has inherited her uncle's farm near Dayton, Ohio. Staring at the attorney's letter and oblivious to the shout of warning, Carrie plunges straight into the path of a rogue taxicab. A flash of yellow and the cab speeds away, slamming Carrie's heels against the curb painfully. She is stunned as strong hands grab her to break her fall.
