This book is the second in a series of essays by Fr. Dale Tupper, a senior priest from the Diocese of Winona-Rochester. His purpose is to reinforce the faith for Catholic disciples of Christ who live in this era of the secular in this 21st Century. His first book, The Blood of the Chalice, in the Era of the Secular, introduced the theme that the secular era has lost its way and that only by turning completely to Jesus Christ can we as disciples maintain our fidelity to the Gospel. In that regard, the ultimate gift us as Catholic is that of the Mass and Eucharist. In this volume, Grace, the Gateway, in the Era of the Secular, we need to recognize the absolute power of God's love for us, even in the midst of this inverted, alternative universe of Satan. Grace, in this world, is a kind of whisper in amongst an innuendo of noise. Perhaps that grace might best be found somewhere between the dissonance and melodies, in between the images and accents that make up everyday life. In the spaces that this world neglects, there is grace, for all to see. A third volume, yet to be written (God willing), will be dedicated to the power of the Holy Spirit in these times that are so agnostic.
