Lives in Chennai. poet, short-story writer, translator. she writes poems in Tamil under the pseudonym 'rishi'. her writings have been published in all noteworthy small magazines in Tamil. she translates from English to Tamil and Tamil to English. so far three short story collections, 11 poem-collections and more than thirty books of translation of hers are published. this volume has her original poems in English. they reveal the myriad facets of Rain both literally and symbolically.
