This book can best be described as NYPD BLUE meets THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Homeless persons began to disappear off the streets of New York City at an alarming rate. At first no one noticed or seemed to care until Detective Jason Sterk noticed a pattern. The targeted population had no close relatives or friends and the only clue was a cryptic message left at the scene of each abduction. Sterk's investigation was going nowhere until the sister of a homeless veteran sought his help. Her brother, Michael, had PTSD and went missing while living on the streets. His profile didn't fit the pattern, and it opened a new investigative path for Sterk. That path would soon lead him on a journey of discovery and dead ends. The results of his investigative journey would both shock him and offer hope for the unfortunates our society left behind.
