BOER MOF IS A BOOK OF SURVIVAL despite all odds. In the hyper-masculine Afrikaner-Boer culture during the apartheid years of South Africa, Rocco is born. He was a pain to deliver and was supposed to be his mother's sixth miscarriage. He finally emerged late, and only after a c-section, searching for a purposeful life consistently denied him. He spends his childhood years in a bizarre family structure, immigrates to the United States as young adult, and navigates through a massive onslaught of culture-shock, sexual discovery, and critical thinking - It is a constant process of insane experiences, self-evaluation, and seeking to understand his mother. One of the hardest things in life, is to recognize where you fit, and how it helps others to complete their personal journey, and to be happy with yourself.
