The Noble Ape Jason Wolfe
The Noble Ape
Jason Wolfe
What started as a teenage thought project about why the human race still has the capacity to feel when it's so obviously disadvantageous has, in the near-decade since, metamorphosed into a full attempted deconstruction and analysis of the human condition. Complete with my own virgining thoughts on trans-humanism and what necessary steps I believe must be taken before humanity ever truly begins to transcend its primeval heritage and failings. I draw from a variety of sources including movies, pop culture, philosophy, science and history. Using my knowledge of art and science, I attempt to condense the essence of such works as Jordan Peterson's 'Maps of Meaning' and Friedrich Niche's 'Will to Power' down into a digestible, common sense format for greater ease of consumption and interpretation. I accept my pitiful position as a hairless ape and do not claim to be omniscient. What I do have is a mind, a will and the hands to put both to work, and so that's what I have done. I accept whatever consequences may come of my writing this and I've accepted those too. May it be that I can be said to have contributed something, however slight, to humanity's noble cause: to boldly go where no man has gone before.
