Light is streaming beneath the door to the actors' lounge. Actress Kate Sachs steps into the room to turn it off. A man in a mask is hiding in the shadows and her director lies crumpled in a corner, unconscious. The man attacks her, but runs away when he hears a noise. After the police arrive and her director is rushed to the hospital, Kate goes home, never suspecting that everything she holds dear is now in jeopardy. But when the man in the mask threatens her family, she fights back, and in a deadly game of cat and mouse, the hunted becomes the hunter.
