Arielle Abbott feels unworthy of love and happiness. She had the world at her fingertips, but lost her way when she married Brody, a controlling man.  As a young Navy wife, she thought she would live a life of fun and adventure, but instead finds that she has begun to lose herself and her identity. Arielle has a chance encounter with a handsome stranger, Mick, which allows her to see she that there might be more to life than her current situation.  She begins to fall for him, but soon discovers that Mick is actually Lieutenant Commander McCrary Ashby, a Navy JAG officer.  He's one of the people best in a position to help her; however, due to military protocol, pursuing a relationship with him is taboo. With just a pet tortoise and her new friend Macy to keep her sane, Arielle must find strength from within to fight. Fight to find happiness, fight to find love, and fight to find herself.
