How do you solve a case without a face? Detective Wink must answer this question when he returns to duty after suffering a near-fatal head wound and losing the people he cared about most in the world, all at the hands of masked murderers. Having been in a coma for several years, Wink must now adjust to a twisted version of New York City where everyone is forced, by law to wear a mask. All the while attending a series of masquerade parties thrown by a famous local playboy. After the first of these parties? ends in a murder, Wink realizes that something truly sinister is going on.
