With his renomination secured, the President (code named "Rambler") plans a secret meeting down the hotel hall to celebrate. It's not intended to be a photo op though the rendezvous is filmed. Then the film goes missing and turns up in a rental car. Three bodies later, a vacationing couple disappear as they flee the beaches and sun of San Diego seeking sanctuary in the wilderness of Southeast Alaska.
