Shepherd in the Corn is the story of a young, unmarried Pastor who serves at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, a small, rural congregation in Nebraska. At the request of her mother, Pastor Allen begins counseling a young, college athlete, Rebecca Heckman, who has recently and - unexpectedly - become pregnant. Against his better judgment, Pastor Allen develops feelings for Rebecca; however, their relationship has repercussions that threaten his entire ministry. Told in first person, Shepherd in the Corn, is the story of love, faith, and finding forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
