Michael Hughes, a charming and gregarious Irishman, and George St. James, a proud and reserved Englishman, have been colleagues for twenty years at John Sheridan University. Despite ethnic, religious and social differences, their friendship has endured through each academic year. Now that friendship is put to the test when Clare MacAvoy, a shy and beautiful student, comes into their lives. Clare MacAvoy has come to John Sheridan University to study English Literature. She receives more of an education than she expects as she learns that both love and life have changing terms.
